January 29, 2009- Devotional: Always Wear Clean Underwear

"Always wear clean underwear--words to live by from Mother. "

ALWAYS WEAR CLEAN UNDERWEAR
(Or be prepared when Jesus returns)

  • If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.
  • Call your mother..she worries.
  • A lot of people these days have a B.A., M.D., or Ph.D.. Unfortunately, they don't have a J.O.B..
  • Always speak the truth and you'll never be concerned with your memory.
  • It never hurts to ask, all they can say is 'no'.
  • It isn't what happens that's important, it's how you deal with it.
  • Never lie in bed at night asking yourself questions you can't answer.
  • Don't tell anyone how wonderfully you're doing, unless it's your mom.
  • Hope only turns into reality when followed by action.
  • By the time your children are fit to live with, they're living with someone else.
  • When your knees knock, kneel on them.
  • Even when you don't know what you're doing, do it well.
  • Fine Print is rarely good news.
  • The really happy person is the one who can enjoy the scenery when he has to take a detour.
  • Things that never happen seem to worry us the most.
  • Life is 10% what you make it and 90% how you take it.
  • When opportunity knocks, don't complain about the noise.
  • What will today's generation be able to tell their children they had to do without?
  • Don't wait for a crisis to discover what is important in life.
  • Don't let failure go to your head.
  • Don't compromise yourself, you are all you've got.
  • The law of heredity is that all undesirable traits come from the other parent.
  • A day of worry is more exhausting than a week of work.
  • The young may know the rules, but the elderly know the exceptions.
  • There is no right way to do the wrong thing.
  • If you're not having fun yet, try harder.
  • Don't talk about it, do it!
  • The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts.
  • Good instincts usually tell you what to do long before your head has figured it out.
  • When a teenager is watching T.V., listening to radio and talking on the phone, she is probably doing her homework.
  • Everyone makes mistakes, that's why they put erasers on pencils.
  • One moment of patience may prevent disaster, one moment of impatience may ruin a whole life.
  • There is always free cheese in a mousetrap.
  • Anything worth having is worth waiting for.
  • The control center of your life is your attitude.
  • The secret of giving advice is to know when to stop.
  • Remember to say "Thank you".
  • People who burn the candle at both ends are not as bright as they think they are.
  • Remember, no swimming for an hour after eating.
  • Be nice to people on your way up because you might meet them on the way down.
  • When telling the truth, it is important to tell the whole truth.

Rejoice in the Lord Always!
